Is Google Making Us Stupid?

The main claim made in the article is that technology and online texts are hindering the brain from it's complete learning capacity. Many people theses days go online instead or reading from a printed or written text. Most of these people don't even read the full article of blog post that they find online. They merely skim over the first few paragraphs and get a brief synopsis of the topic. Literacy is defined as being intriguing and mystical, causing one to really have to dig down deep in their brain and analyze what one is reading. The definitions are similar in that they both contain elements requiring one to think and see beyond just the visible words. What the Net seems to be doing is is chipping away the capacity for concentration and contemplation. Using the Net is causing  people to think swiftly and retain less. 3 types of evidence: Quote from Scott Karp, Wired's Clive Thompson, Bruce Friedman. Yes, this evidence is effective. All 3 of the men mentioned use some sort of technology online. They know the same feeling as the author when it comes to the use of the Net. The article's answer to the so what question: Technology may be the start of an artificial world that we have no control over.

I am choosing to analyze Miley Cyrus's twitter account. There are plenty of personal tweets, pictures, and interactions with other people to analyze and get good evidence from. It will be interesting to talk about her account because her reputation as been rapidly changing lately and there are many that disapprove. There are also many that do approve though. Miley wants to be seen as the wild child that has no cares in the world and her tweets definitely represent that. Whether it's a joke tweet or a serious one, she is still doing her own thing and not caring what anyone else thinks. She is still successful no matter what and that's what she cares about.
